Deputy Finance Officer

Department: Business Support and Finance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations
    • Manage the procurement, accounting, tax and treasury departments
    • Oversee the Company transactions processing systems
    • Implement operational best practice
    • Supervise and negotiate acquisition
    • Manage the third party to which accounting or finance have been outsourced.
    • Oversee purchasing transactions
    • Ensure adequate controls are installed
  • Risk Management
    • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impacts.
    • Monitor all open legal issues involving the Company, and legal issues affecting industries
    • Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
    • Ensure that record keeping meets requirements of auditors and government agency
    • Report risk issues to the CFO
    • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendation
  • Funding
    • Monitor cash balance and forecast
    • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet organization’s needs
  • Accounting and Financials
    • Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and develop improvements
    •  Oversee issuances of Financial Information
    • Personally review and approve all financials reports to be reported to SEC, BIR and other government bodies
    • Reports financials to the CFO
  • HR
    • Oversee issuance of payroll
    • Investigate cost-effective benefits plans and other fringe benefits which the organization may offer the employees and potential employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals
  • Planning
    • Assist in formulating company future directions and supporting tactical initiatives
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
    • Develop financial and tax strategies
    • Manage capital request and budgeting processes
  • Management
    • Train finance unit on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management
    • Motivate and give clear direction and execution of tasks to the subordinates

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience handling a medium to large scale company with more than 700 employees
  • Knowledge on advance accounting best practices
  • Knowledge on advance supply chain best practices
  • Knowledge on advance project management best practices
  • Knowledge on advance budgeting best practices
  • Recent ERP Experience Required – use of Netsuite is a huge plus
  • Perfect proficiency in the English Language
  • Strong Management skills
  • Willing to work extended hours
  • Willing to report to office
